Why Can't I Download the Signed Document as a Silent Party?
If an email link brought you to this page, it means you are a silent party (a recipient who is CC'd on the document but does not sign it) and the sender has enabled Verified Secure. Because strict authentication is required to access the file, unauthenticated silent parties are blocked from downloading it to maintain absolute security.
Why is the download blocked?
When a sender enables Authentication (Verified Secure), the platform enforces strict security protocols for everyone accessing the final document. The system requires an identity check before anyone can view or download the file:
Signers & Active Recipients must authenticate themselves using an eID (like BankID) or a secure SMS code.
Senders must be securely logged directly into the Verified platform.
Where does that leave the silent party?
By definition, a silent party is added to a transaction using only an email address; no secure authentication method (like SMS or eID) is set up for them. Because your email link alone cannot prove your identity to the system, Verified blocks the download to prevent unauthorized access to a protected legal document.
How to get your copy of the document
Since the system cannot securely verify you on its own, you will need to bypass the automated link:
Contact the sender: Reach out directly to the person or organization who created the signing envelope.
Alert them to the issue: Let them know that because Verified Secure was enabled, you cannot download your copy as a silent party.
Request a direct copy: Ask them to download the fully signed PDF from their secure dashboard and send it to you securely via an alternative method.
