Available Signing Methods

Updated

Verified supports a wide range of electronic signature methods, from highly secure corporate and national electronic IDs (eIDs) across the Nordic region to simple text and touch-based verifications.

⚠️ Important Note for Recipients: The exact signing method for a document is selected and locked in by the sender during the envelope setup. As a recipient, you cannot change or swap the signing method assigned to you.

Supported Signing Methods

We divide our authentication methods into two categories depending on the level of security and legal compliance required for your specific agreement:

1. Official National eIDs (Advanced & Qualified Signatures)

These methods require a valid national identity profile and offer the highest level of cryptographic security and legal binding authority in court.

  • BankID Sweden 🇸🇪: The standard digital identification system for Swedish citizens.

  • BankID Norway 🇧🇻: The standard secure verification framework for Norwegian citizens.

  • MitID Denmark 🇩🇰: The official Danish national eID (which fully replaced the legacy NemID system).

  • FTN (Finnish Trust Network) 🇫🇮: The official network used for secure digital identification across Finland.

2. Standard Electronic Signatures (Simple Signatures)

These methods are highly flexible and ideal for quick internal sign-offs, global transactions where recipients don't have a Nordic eID, or lower-risk agreements.

  • SMS OTP: The recipient receives a unique, secure one-time passcode via text message to verify their identity before signing.

  • E-mail Verification: A secure link sent directly to the recipient’s vetted inbox acts as the primary validation layer.

  • Touch Sign: Allows the recipient to physically draw their signature on a touchscreen or type their name using a mouse or trackpad.
