User Levels & Permissions
The Verified platform features three distinct user access levels to help manage document visibility, security, and administrative tasks within your organization.
Roles & Permissions Overview
User Level | Envelope Visibility | Management Capabilities |
Regular User | Only their own envelopes | Can create, send, and view their own personal envelopes. |
Privileged User | All envelopes in the group | Can create personal envelopes and view/monitor all envelopes created by anyone in the same group. |
Admin (Administrator) | All envelopes in the group | Full account visibility + User management (inviting, changing roles, or removing users). |
Detailed Role Breakdowns
1. Regular User
This is the default setting for standard team members.
Capabilities: Can create and sign their own envelopes.
Restrictions: They are completely restricted from seeing or accessing envelopes sent by other colleagues or departments.
2. Privileged User
This role is ideal for team leads, compliance officers, or managers who need high visibility across the team without administrative responsibilities.
Capabilities: Can create their own envelopes and view every single document or envelope generated across the group.
Restrictions: Cannot edit group settings or manage team member accounts.
3. Admin
This role grants complete ownership over the company workspace settings and team roster.
Capabilities: Full access to create and view all group envelopes, alongside access to add new users, change user roles, or remove users from the workspace.
🔒 Security Best Practice:
To protect sensitive data, remember to restrict Admin and Privileged access only to individuals who strictly require company-wide document visibility. Your organization must always maintain at least one active Admin user.
