Document notification history

Updated

The Document Notification History provides a complete, reverse-chronological record of every email and SMS message dispatched by the Verified platform for a specific document. This feature makes it easy to confirm whether an invitation was sent, track delivery dates, and verify automated or manual reminders.

👥 Who Is This Relevant For?

This feature is available to all Verified Senders and Administrators who manage envelopes and need an audit trail of outgoing communications from their Dashboard or Archive.

📋 What Notifications Are Tracked?

The platform logs every outbound communication event associated with your document package, including:

  • Initial Invitations: The original delivery notices sent to signers via email or SMS.

  • Reminders: Any manual reminders triggered via the bell icon, as well as recurring automated reminder nudges.

  • Completion Receipts: The final delivery emails sent out to all recipients and the creator once all signatures are gathered and the signed PDF is ready.

Details Shown for Each Entry

To help you differentiate between multiple dispatches to the same person, each entry in the history log includes:

  • Event Type: Description of the notification (e.g., initial invite, reminder, signed copy).

  • Delivery Channel: Whether it was sent via Email or SMS.

  • Date & Exact Timestamp: When the message was processed and dispatched by our servers.

  • Email Subject Line: The exact subject line displayed in the recipient's inbox.

🔍 How to View Notification History

  1. Log into your account and navigate to your Dashboard or Archive.

  2. Locate the envelope you want to inspect and click to expand its details.

  3. Open the Notification History dropdown menu.

  4. Review the timeline of events, listed from newest to oldest.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why is an email subject line listed in a different language than my platform interface?

This is expected behavior. The notification history displays the exact subject line received by the recipient.

When an envelope is created, a specific delivery language can be assigned to each recipient (or determined by their regional preferences). If a recipient's assigned communication language differs from the language you currently have selected in your Verified interface, the log will show their localized subject line (e.g., Norwegian, Swedish, or German) rather than translating it into your interface language.
