1. Is this relevant to me?
This is relevant to anyone using Internet Explorer 11 as their browser.
2. What is it?
Microsoft announced that they retired the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application as of June 15, 2022. As a consequence, the Verified platform will stop including technical support for the browser and exclude it from the list of supported browsers.
3. What should I do?
If you are using Internet Explorer 11, you should follow Microsoft's recommendation and switch to using the Microsoft Edge browser instead (without the IE compatibility mode).
4. How will the Verified platform be affected?
Internet Explorer 11 has been a limiting factor in the development of features for the Verified platform, as it was [by far] the lowest common denominator when it came to the browsers we had to support. With that gone, we will be able to use more modern software frameworks to a provide a better experience for our users.
