Feature update: The Checkout process has been streamlined and enforced for all the flows

1. Is this relevant to me?

This is relevant to you if your organization still has flows that use the old signing process, or if you found the Checkout a bit too crowded compared to the previous one.

2. What is it?

The Checkout is a standalone web-app, that's part of the Verified Platform, and it handles the document signing process. The Checkout has been available for a while for most companies, however, some companies still have flows that rely on the old signing process.

We will be releasing an update for the Checkout that consists of:

1. Making the Checkout more streamlined
   Some of the feedback we have received from you was that the old signing process was a bit less intimidating for recipients, especially when there was only one document to sign.
   
   
2. Enabling the streamlined Checkout for all the remaining flows
   There are still a number of templates that point to the old signing process. With the release of this streamlined Checkout, we will have addressed the last remaining pain point (mentioned above). As such, we will force-redirect flows that still point to the old signing process towards the new Checkout.

3. How will it work?

3.1 Making the Checkout more streamlined

We've heard your feedback and have incorporated your ideas into a more streamlined Checkout, especially when there is only a single document to sign.

With multiple documents, the sidebar (simplified in the updated version) starts expanded. In this case we want a bit of friction, to make sure that users are aware that they need to sign multiple documents. 

4 How can I get it?

This streamlined Checkout has been automatically deployed for everyone as of July 26th. Same with the redirect script which will force all the templates that still used the old signing process to redirect to the new Checkout.

Do we still have access to the old signing process?

No. After this update, everyone is using the same consistent, modern, user experience for signing documents.
